NPFL: Kwara United Receive Major Squad Boost Ahead of North Central Derby vs Niger Tornadoes

Kwara United have confirmed a crucial squad boost ahead of their Matchday 16 North Central derby showdown against Niger Tornadoes, set for Sunday at the iconic Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl in Ilorin.

In an official announcement, the Harmony Boys revealed that Gidado Toheeb and Olarewaju AbdulRahman have returned to full fitness after spending several weeks on the sidelines due to injury. Their comeback is expected to strengthen the team’s options as they push for an improved performance in front of their home fans.

However, the club also disclosed that Aliyu Salaudeen, Issa Gata, and Shola Abdulraheem are still unavailable as they continue their recovery process. Their absence remains a setback, but the team is hopeful they will return soon.

Kwara United head into the derby eager to turn their form around. The Ilorin-based side have found it difficult to secure points in their last four league outings and presently sit 14th on the NPFL table with 18 points from 15 matches.
