NPFL: Kwara United Coach Ashifat Suleiman Hails Team’s Character After 2–0 Win Over Niger Tornadoes
Kwara United head coach Ashifat Suleiman has praised his players for their solid performance in the Harmony Boys’ impressive 2–0 victory over Niger Tornadoes in their NPFL Matchday 16 clash at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, George Innih Stadium in Ilorin.
Speaking to the club’s media team after the match, Suleiman said he was pleased with how his side approached the game, highlighting the players’ determination and the positive impact of returning stars who had previously been sidelined by injury.
“I’m satisfied with my team’s performance. My boys showed great character, and we were further boosted by the return of some previously injured players,” he said.
The win marks an important bounce-back for Kwara United as they return to winning ways and climb to 10th place on the NPFL table with 21 points from 16 matches. The Harmony Boys will now shift focus to their next challenge, a tough away fixture against Enyimba International next Sunday in Aba.
