Nottingham Forest has sent more players to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations than any other club in the English Premier League.

Six players will be representing the British club in the continental African tournament: Serge Aurier, Willy Boly, Ibrahim Sangare (all from Ivory Coast), Moussa Niakhate, Sheikh Kouyate (both from Ghana), and Ola Aina (Nigeria).

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will take place from January 13th to February 11th in Ivory Coast. The current African champions are Senegal, who defeated Egypt in the CAN 2021 final (0-0 in regular time, 4-2 in penalties).

Egypt holds the record for the most victories in the Africa Cup of Nations, having been champions seven times in its history.

Earlier reports indicated that the entire coaching staff of the Senegal national team has not been receiving their salaries for quite some time.
