Not Liverpool! Premier League giant agrees to take Alexander-Arnold from Real Madrid
Real Madrid could part ways with Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has failed to live up to expectations since moving from Liverpool. According to TEAMtalk, several English clubs are monitoring the situation surrounding the 28-year-old, but Chelsea have now emerged as the frontrunners to sign him.
It is reported that Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso is interested in reuniting with the defender, whom he worked with in Madrid. The Spanish coach is looking to strengthen the right side of his defence, particularly after yet another injury to Reece James, who is expected to be sidelined for around three months.
Alexander-Arnold himself has lost his place in Real Madrid's starting XI and is increasingly being left on the bench. According to the source, the Madrid club are not determined to offload the Englishman at any cost, but are ready to consider a suitable transfer offer.
Besides Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are also interested in the player. At the same time, a potential move for Alexander-Arnold could affect Malo Gusto's future: should the deal go through, the Frenchman could be allowed to leave the London club.
