Robbie Fowler's club career is undeniably impressive, with around 210 goals in the Premier League. However, things didn’t go as well for the Liverpool legend with the England national team, and he feels it was undeserved.

Details: Fowler revealed that his 26 appearances for the "Three Lions" were far too few, and he should have played more. He also expressed disappointment that he was only called up to the national team after scoring nearly 100 goals.

Quote: "I don’t often look back on those games. I feel I should have played a lot more for the national team. To say that I had to score 100 goals before I was first called up is just wrong, to be completely honest. Of course, I wanted to perform better, but I never really got a proper chance.

Out of 26 or 27 matches, I started 12 times. My goal record is quite good. Out of those 12 starts, I only played the full 90 minutes once," Fowler said in an interview with Setanta Sports.

Reminder: The Liverpool idol also praised Arne Slot's work as Liverpool's manager.
