Brazil national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti has addressed the situation surrounding Neymar, who recently suffered an injury and will miss the team's upcoming matches.
The Italian tactician confirmed that the forward will not be dropped from the World Cup squad despite his health concerns. Furthermore, the coaching staff has no plans to call up another player to replace the team's talisman.
We expect Neymar to return for the first match against Morocco or, if not, in the following game. We will not be making any replacements. The selected players are exactly who we want in the squad. I have no intention of changing my plans. All 26 players named in the squad will play at the World Cup," the coach emphasized.
Thus, Neymar retains his place in the Brazil squad and will continue his recovery under the close supervision of the team's medical staff. The national federation is hopeful that one of the squad's most experienced stars will be able to help the team right from the start of the tournament.
