Chelsea striker Liam Delap could be on the move in the upcoming transfer window, with Newcastle emerging as the frontrunner for the 22-year-old forward as they continue their search for attacking reinforcements.
According to TeamTalk, even before his move from Ipswich to Chelsea, Delap had met with Magpies head coach Eddie Howe and was left impressed by his approach. Newcastle’s interest in the player remains strong to this day.

The London club, meanwhile, is ready to consider offers for the striker. This season, Delap has failed to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup and has only managed one Premier League goal. Injuries have also affected his form, and following the arrival of Liam Rosenior, the attacking focus has shifted to Joao Pedro.
