A fresh feud has flared up between Egypt's Mohamed Salah and former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher after the Reds' 2-0 victory over Manchester City in the Premier League. Salah was instrumental in the win, scoring one goal and providing an assist.

While the result and Salah's continued brilliance dominated post-match discussions, a notable moment occurred during a Sky Sports interview with Salah and teammate Virgil van Dijk. Van Dijk jokingly remarked that he was surprised Carragher didn't select Salah as the man of the match, to which Salah responded, “No, he (Carragher) will never give it to me... I don’t want to talk about it.”

Carragher responded to Salah's remarks on Sky Sports, bringing up a previous incident with Roy Keane and joking that he would "set up a meeting with Salah in the parking lot."

Carragher later took to X (formerly Twitter), humorously stating, “I would have given it to Virgil van Dijk to be fair,” further fueling the tension. This comes after Carragher recently criticized Salah's remarks about his contract situation, which were made just before key fixtures against Real Madrid and Manchester City.
