The upcoming Europa League final is stirring mixed emotions among fans, as it features two sides languishing near the bottom of the Premier League table. Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville shares those very sentiments.

Details: Neville believes Tottenham hold the personnel advantage heading into the final, and only Bruno Fernandes could break into Ange Postecoglou’s squad. Still, both he and Casemiro have the ability to turn a match on its head—a factor that could prove decisive.

Quote: “I feel sick about this game next Wednesday. The biggest reason I have this nauseating feeling is when I look at every player on the team: Dejan Kulusevski, Heung-Min Son, Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke, James Maddison if he’s fit, Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie.”

If you compare these players to Manchester United, only Bruno would make Spurs’ starting XI. I’d pick all of Tottenham’s players. The goalkeeper is 50-50, as I’m not a big fan of Vicario and I’m not keen on Onana either.

But next Wednesday, I would choose every Tottenham player over Manchester United’s. That’s my concern. United have a couple of players like Casemiro and Bruno—there’s something about them that allows them to make a huge impact in a one-off match,” Neville said in an interview with The Overlap Fan Debate.

Reminder: Earlier, Manchester United’s head coach Ruben Amorim expressed his desire to pay for the club staff’s trip to the final in Bilbao.
