Napoli found a replacement for Osimhen in the sensational club of the current La Liga season

Kylian Mbappé is certain to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of this current season, but it remains uncertain which club the Frenchman will join next. This compels the Parisians to seek a replacement for their forward, with one of the main targets being Napoli's striker, Serie A's top scorer from last season, Victor Osimhen.

Napoli understands that they may lose their player and are beginning to search for his successor. One of the options is Girona's forward, Artem Dovbyk. The Ukrainian has strengthened his team's attack, allowing Girona to achieve incredible results this season. The Catalan club has the second-highest scoring record in La Liga, trailing only Real Madrid by four goals, and Dovbyk himself is currently the league's top scorer. The Ukrainian forward has eighteen goals and five assists to his name. These statistics are only one less than the star newcomer at Los Blancos, Jude Bellingham.

Few expected such a high-quality performance from Dovbyk when he moved to Girona from Ukrainian side Dnipro-1 for €7.75 million. He did not feature in the starting lineup in the first five matches, but after an excellent performance for the national team, he earned a place in the starting XI.

According to Il Mattino, if Napoli indeed has to bid farewell to Osimhen, they will initiate negotiations with Girona regarding the transfer of Dovbyk. It's worth noting that the Ukrainian striker has previously attracted interest from Atlético Madrid and Chelsea.

It is not yet clear how much Girona will demand for Dovbyk in case of active interest from other clubs, but they would certainly like to keep him on their team. Next season, the Catalan club will take part in European competitions and have every chance of playing in the Champions League, so they will certainly need a strong attack line.
