A top Spanish club is looking to sign the top scorer of Girona

Girona's forward Artem Dovbyk is attracting interest from Atletico Madrid.

According to Elgoldigital, Los Rojiblancos are preparing to make a move for the transfer in the summer. To secure the Ukrainian striker's signature, they would need to pay €28 million. This is the valuation set by the Catalan club for their prolific forward.

Artem Dovbyk joined Girona last summer from the Ukrainian club Dnipro-1, with the Catalan club paying just under €8 million for the promising striker.

During his time with the Catalan team, the forward has netted 15 goals across all competitions. Currently, Dovbyk is experiencing a goal drought, with his last goal coming on January 21st when he scored a hat-trick against Sevilla.

It's worth noting that the portal Transfermarkt values the 26-year-old footballer at €30 million. Dovbyk's contract with Girona runs until 2028.

Earlier reports indicated that Atletico Madrid is closely monitoring a forward from Barcelona.
