Napoli and Lazio have set their sights on Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus.

According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, both clubs are looking to loan the midfielder in January with an option to buy him permanently.

This season, the 26-year-old midfielder has clocked 697 minutes across 16 Bundesliga matches, netting three goals and providing two assists. His contract with the German club extends until June 2027.

However, in the last eight Bundesliga matches, the midfielder has only been part of the starting lineup once, indicating a potential shift in his circumstances.

Lazio currently holds the seventh position in Serie A's standings, while Napoli, the reigning champions, currently occupies the ninth spot.

Earlier, Napoli completed the acquisition of defender Pasquale Mazzocchi from Salernitana. In December, they sold midfielder Eljif Elmas to RB Leipzig.
