Towards the end of the transfer window, West Ham planned to make both incoming and outgoing transfers. The "Hammers" intended to part ways with Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma. However, these deals could not be finalized.

As reported by West Ham's head coach David Moyes, bureaucracy hindered the transfers:

"Some last-minute issues with the paperwork for Benrahma's transfer arose. Regarding Fornals' transfer, I think there's a chance the deal will be ratified. Although, I cannot confirm whether it will happen or not."

To recall, Benrahma was supposed to move to French side Lyon. It was planned as a loan until the end of the season, with an obligation to buy for 15 million euros.

Fornals would have completed a permanent transfer to Real Betis for six million euros, with an additional four million in bonuses.
