More personnel woes for Real: Raúl Asensio catches viral infection and is doubtful for Girona clash
Real Madrid are gearing up for a crucial La Liga showdown against Girona, but their preparations are overshadowed by fresh squad troubles.
Details: According to Marca, Asensio's participation in the La Liga fixture is now in serious doubt after he was struck by a sudden viral infection. The defender missed group training at Valdebebas, deepening an already challenging situation at the back.
It had already been confirmed that Alaba, Carvajal, and Huijsen will definitely miss the match. The situation is further complicated by the condition of star defender Militão, who only recently returned to training and has so far participated in just two sessions with the team.
There is, however, some good news from the medical room. The head coach can now count on midfielder Camavinga and goalkeeper Courtois, who both appear to have fully recovered from their recent injuries.
Real's game against Girona is scheduled for Sunday, November 30 at 21:00 Central European Time.
Reminder: Real are looking to sign Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice.
