The Real Madrid board was thoroughly impressed by the English midfielder’s performance in the Champions League group stage match against Bayern Munich.
Details: According to TeamTalk, Real’s chief scout Juni Calafat attended the game in London in person to assess Declan Rice. His report, sent back to Madrid, was full of glowing praise, highlighting Rice’s tactical intelligence, composure under pressure, and superb ball control.
However, reports suggest the chances of a transfer are extremely slim. Rice joined Arsenal in 2023 for a record £105 million and has become an irreplaceable figure. The Gunners have no intention of selling their leader either now or next summer.
Moreover, Arsenal are already planning to offer Rice a new, improved contract, as he is seen as the club’s future captain.
This season, Rice has made nineteen appearances for the Gunners across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing five assists.
Reminder: Chelsea are moving advertising boards ahead of their clash with Arsenal to prevent long throw-ins.
