A recent statistic shows how important Mohamed Salah has been for Liverpool's success in the Premier League this season. After 12 games, Liverpool is at the top of the league with 31 points, which is 8 points more than Manchester City, the current champions.

Salah has played a big role, scoring 10 goals and giving 6 assists, making him the second-highest goal scorer in the league. According to a report from Give Me Sport, using data from Opta, if Salah’s 16 direct contributions (goals + assists) were not counted, Liverpool would fall to 13th place in the league with only 14 points.

In that case, Chelsea would be leading with 25 points, followed by Arsenal (24), Brighton and Manchester City (23), and Aston Villa (20).

Salah has contributed 16 goal involvements in the Premier League alone this season, and he has scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions. Ramy Abbas, his agent, is currently negotiating a new contract for him; his current one with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2025.
