Mohamed Salah Breaks Lampard's Record and Eyes Premier League Title After Scoring Twice
Egyptian star Mohamed Salah has revealed his goal after surpassing Frank Lampard on the Premier League all-time scorers list.
Salah scored a brace in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth, bringing his total to 178 goals, moving him to sixth place in the Premier League history.
“It feels good to be fair! Scoring goals, team winning, it’s an incredible feeling,” Salah said after the match. He emphasized that his main target this season is to win the Premier League with Liverpool, adding, “We are going in the right direction, so hopefully, we can keep going like this.”
Salah’s goals came in the 30th and 75th minutes of the game. After converting a penalty and scoring an incredible second goal, he now has 21 goals this season, three more than Erling Haaland, who is vying for the Golden Boot.
Liverpool increased their Premier League lead to nine points with this win, and Salah was instrumental in the team's run for the championship. At this point, Salah is committed to helping his club win the league.
