Mohamed Ouahbi pleased with Morocco’s victory over Scotland
“I am very pleased”
The Atlas Lions secured a valuable victory in Group C in their second World Cup match in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Following the match played on the night of Saturday 20 June, Mohamed Ouahbi praised his players’ performance against an opponent he considers a tough one to play against. The Morocco manager did, however, point out that a more comfortable lead would have allowed his team to see out the match with greater ease.
“I’m very satisfied, although I would have preferred to score a second and third goal to give us a bit more breathing space. They were a very intense side, a compact unit. We managed to control them, even with just a one-goal lead.”
