Milan has turned its attention to the forward of the Georgian national team and Ajax player, Georges Mikautadze. According to La Repubblica, the bosses of AC Milan see him as a potential replacement for the departed Olivier Giroud.

The Italian giants are reportedly showing serious interest in the 23-year-old forward, especially considering the complexities in negotiations for Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna. Milan is impressed with Mikautadze's ability to find scoring opportunities in the final third of the field and sees him as an alternative to the Dutchman.

It's noted that Mikautadze has a release clause of €13 million in his contract, but this shouldn't be a hurdle for Milan. Currently, Mikautadze is the top scorer of Euro 2024, held in Germany, with three goals and one assist in three matches.

Mikautadze belongs to Ajax, but he spent last season on loan at French club Metz, where he scored 13 goals and provided four assists. Earlier reports also mentioned interest in the player from Monaco.
