Mikel Arteta provides update on injured players
Arsenal are set to face Tottenham on Sunday, 23 November, and Mikel Arteta has now given an update on the squad’s injury situation.
Details: The Gunners’ head coach was asked whether there is any chance of seeing Gabby Jesus, Kai Havertz, Madueke, Ødegaard and Gyökeres return.
Quote: “Yes, during the international break we put in a lot of work together with the entire medical staff to try to get them back as quickly as possible,” Arteta said.
He also noted that the team still has one training session left, and they will assess how those players are feeling.
The Gunners’ manager confirmed an injury to the Brazilian defender and added that he will need several weeks to recover.
Reminder: Earlier, we reported that the Brazilian is expected to miss about a month due to a thigh injury. As a result, he risks sitting out eight Arsenal matches across all competitions.
