Messi admits whether he wanted to leave Barcelona for PSG

In the summer of 2021, for the first time football fans saw Lionel Messi in a Barcelona shirt. The Argentine after 18 years in Catalonia left the team and moved to PSG, with which, however, the taste of European triumph did not feel the taste of European triumph.

The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner himself looked back almost three years ago and admitted that it was not an easy decision for him to decide to move to Paris:

"The move to PSG was very difficult because I was very good at Barcelona and I wanted to stay there, I didn't want to and I wasn't ready to leave. Everything was very fast, I had to familiarise myself with a new league, a different club, a different changing room. It was a change we didn't expect and that's why it was hard at first," Messi admitted in a conversation with Big Time Podcast.

Messi played for PSG from 2021-2023, played 75 matches for the team, scored 32 goals and gave 35 goals. Now the Argentine is the leader of MLS club Inter Miami, which is having a hard time without its star.
