Memory! Liverpool addresses fans on Diogo Jota's birthday

Jota left this world far too soon.

Details: Today, Liverpool's official X social media page posted a message to fans and the family of the late Diogo Jota, who would have celebrated his 29th birthday today.

"Today, as every day, we remember Diogo Jota on what would have been his 29th birthday.

All of our love, thoughts and prayers continue to be with his wife Rute, his children, parents and all of his family and friends, as well as those of his brother, Andre.

Forever in our hearts, forever our number 20." the message reads.

Diogo Jota died on July 3 of this year in a horrific car accident in Spain. His brother Andre also lost his life alongside him.

Jota joined Liverpool in 2020 from Wolverhampton for 45 million euros. During his time at Liverpool, the Portuguese forward played 182 matches, scoring 65 goals and providing 26 assists.

Diogo Jota's name will forever remain in the memory of the fans and in the history of Liverpool.
