Djé D’Avilla could not hide his excitement for Mbekezeli Mbokazi strike for Bafana Bafana as the Chicago Fire midfielder expressed hope the defender starts dishing out such goals at the MLS side.

The Ivory Coast midfielder was also left in awe by the former Orlando Pirates player’s goal for Bafana Bafana against Panama on Tuesday night in a friendly international at Cape Town Stadium.

“I think Mbokazi is a special guy, special, special. When I saw the goal, I was like going crazy, what a goal,” he said.

“I hope he can bring this energy here, start to do his thing in Chicago to help the team, then he will be fine.”

D’Avilla joined Chicago Fire last season from Portuguese side Leiria and he has become one of the finest players in the MLS.
