Mbappé on the bench to the detriment of result. PSG failed to win third consecutive Ligue 1 match

PSG hosted Reims in the 25th round of the French Ligue 1. The star forward of the Parisian team, Kylian Mbappé, who will leave the club at the end of the season and therefore plays less frequently, started the match on the bench.

The teams had an entertaining first half, each scoring two goals in each other's nets. Reims took the lead as early as the seventh minute. However, by the 20th minute, the Parisian giants not only equalized but also took the lead. First, Abdelhamid scored an own goal, and then Gonçalo Ramos put the home team ahead.

It seemed like there was nothing indicating a loss of points for the champions. However, Reims unexpectedly equalized with an effort from Oumar Diakite in injury time of the first half.

In the second 45 minutes, PSG increased pressure on the visitors' goal but failed to snatch a victory. Even the substitution of Mbappé in the 73rd minute didn't help.

As a result, Luis Enrique's team failed to win for the third consecutive match in the championship. However, PSG's lead remains very comfortable: they are 10 points ahead of their closest pursuer.
