Mats Hummels Could Leave Roma: Under What Condition?

German center-back Mats Hummels joined Roma as a free agent in early September. However, having played only 24 minutes since his arrival, he is now considering leaving the club.

Details: According to insider Florian Plettenberg, if Hummels’ playing time does not improve under Claudio Ranieri’s management, he may leave the club as early as the winter transfer window. Additionally, the 35-year-old defender has not ruled out the possibility of retiring altogether. Roma has already been informed of Hummels’ plans.

Interestingly, Claudio Ranieri recently expressed his confusion over why Hummels has seen so little action for the team.

Ranieri has also urged the fans to rally behind the team, emphasizing that jeers from the crowd are the last thing Roma—or he—needs right now.
