Marumo Gallants have identified Moroccan born Jamil Benouahi as the man to replace coach Alexandre Lafitte as the club looks to avoid PSL relagation
Jamil Benouahi is the man reported to be on his way to take charge of Marumo Gallants from Alexandre Lafitte.
Benouahi, a Moroccan national, is to replace Lafitte, a French national, until the end of the season in the Marumo Gallants dugout.
Gallants have dropped to the 14th spot in the Betway Premiership and claimed their first victory in the league since last October.
They beat Chippa United 3-1 after conceding first way in home in a midweek game in East London. .
As the Marumo Gallants fortunes seem to changing for the better, the team management also sees it better to do the same in the technical team.
Lafitte was placed on suspension last Monday and the club said it was because of breach of his contract as the team lost seven matches in succession in all competitions.
The 46-year-old Benouahi was spotted in the stands during the team’s victory over Chippa United alongside club chairman Abram Sello.
His deal is likely to be concluded this weekend and it’s likely that it will run until the end of the campaign.
