Chelsea is enjoying an incredible season and currently sits second in the Premier League table. However, according to head coach Enzo Maresca, they are not yet favorites for the championship title.
Details: Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Maresca expressed hope that Chelsea would soon become genuine title contenders. However, he emphasized that, for now, they are not in that position.
Quote: "I like convincing myself and the players that the only way to fight for or compete for something is to focus on today. When you start thinking two days, three days, a month, or two months ahead, bad times will come," said the Italian coach.
On Thursday, December 12, Chelsea, with an experimental lineup, secured a 3–1 away victory against Astana in the fifth round of the UEFA Conference League. This win ensured their qualification for the Round of 16 in the 2024/25 Conference League season.
Note: Chelsea's Cole Palmer intends to trademark his signature goal celebration. The player has submitted an application to the UK Intellectual Property Office.
