Mandla Ncikazi predicts a tough Durban City encounter for his title chasing Orlando Pirates side today
Mandla Ncikazi expects a tough Durban City match this afternoon against Orlando Pirates.
Ncikazi's Pirates host the Kwa-Zulu Natal side at the Orlando Amstel Arena buoyed by the prospects of being crowned this season's Betway Premiership should they win this tie.
They only need a win from their two remaining matches against Durban City today and Orbit College next week.
Against the Nedbank Cup champions today in Soweto, Pirates assistant coach, Ncikazi said they have not changed from their mandate of earning three points.
And oday's three points are the most precious as they are three points behind table toppers in Mamelodi Sundowns but a win will bring them to the same number of points.
But their superior goal difference will see them on top of the PSL standings.
“The emphasis is clear, our process is playing every game. We have played 28, we still have two games to play,” said Ncikazi ahead of today's match against Durban City.
“We’re just looking at the next game, Durban City, a very tough opponent. They’re highly motivated after winning the cup, it’s not going to be easy.
“You can hear how motivated they are coming here but playing at Arena, there’s one responsibility for all of us is gather three points.
“The mandate hasn’t changed, that’s what we’re going to try and do in today's match.”
The match starts at 3pm.
