Manchester United exclude former Chelsea coach from coaching candidates
Manchester United has yet to decide on the fate of head coach Erik ten Hag and whether to dismiss him.
However, according to The Times, the Red Devils' management has already excluded former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino from the list of candidates for the head coach position. It is believed that Manchester United had discussions with the Argentine to assess the possibility of him taking over the team, but this will not happen.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag has already returned from vacation, and Manchester United's management is expected to make a decision regarding his future this week. So far, no final word has been given to the Dutchman at Old Trafford.
The latest report confirms the fact that Manchester United boss Sir Jim Ratcliffe was in talks with former Bayern and Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel, but as we reported earlier, the German has refused to work in the team and wants to take some time off.
As for the other candidate for the job, namely England head coach Gareth Southgate, he could be in a better position for others through his good relationship with INEOS sporting director Dale Brailsford, as well as Dan Ashworth, who has been linked with a move to a similar position from Newcastle to Manchester United.
