Man who threatened to kill Álvaro Morata's family arrested

The case has taken a criminal turn.
Details: After missing a penalty against Portugal in the Nations League final, 32-year-old Álvaro Morata faced relentless criticism, which soon escalated into real threats against the safety of the player and his family.
One fan promised to harm Morata and his loved ones — he wrote about it to the footballer on social media. However, the threat did not go unnoticed.
On Tuesday, police identified the owner of the account from which the threats were sent. It turned out to be a 19-year-old man, who claimed in his defense that he had nothing to do with the incident and that his phone had allegedly been hacked by fraudsters.
Nevertheless, the cyber police conducted their own investigation and determined that there had been no hacking — the suspect had lied, effectively closing the case on the search for the perpetrator.
Álvaro Morata himself has yet to comment on the situation regarding the suspect's arrest.
