Liverpool is weighing up a sensational swap deal with Real Madrid that could completely reshape the midfield for both clubs.

Details: According to TeamTalk, the Merseysiders are ready to offer their World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister in exchange for their long-term target, Real Madrid’s French holding midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni. Although Real have been keeping tabs on the Argentine for some time, the Madrid side aren’t fully prepared to make the switch, as they value Tchouaméni higher and currently have no plans to let him go.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is growing increasingly concerned about the situation surrounding Ibrahima Konaté. The defender has caught the eye of Real Madrid as well, especially after another of their targets, Dayot Upamecano, renewed his contract with his current club. If Konaté decides to move on when his deal expires, the Reds will be forced to search for an experienced defensive leader.

It’s worth noting that Transfermarkt values Mac Allister at €85 million, while Tchouaméni is rated at €75 million.

Reminder: Newcastle, Tottenham, and Aston Villa are keen on signing Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones this summer.
