Liverpool star faces nightmare! Valencia could terminate Harvey Elliott's loan in January
Harvey Elliott's nightmare in Spain could end much earlier than expected! Valencia are reportedly considering terminating the Liverpool midfielder's loan agreement during the January transfer window, just months after bringing him to Mestalla. Major changes behind the scenes have placed the Englishman's future in serious doubt.
Details: According to reports from Diario AS, Valencia's recent managerial restructuring could dramatically change their plans for Elliott. The 23-year-old arrived in September on a season-long loan, but has struggled to establish himself. Former manager Carlos Corberan and sporting director Ron Gourlay, who supported his arrival, have both departed.
Elliott has made just six La Liga appearances, all as a substitute, without earning a single start. His difficult spell reached another low against Villarreal, when he received two yellow cards in quick succession for protesting and was sent off. The midfielder subsequently apologised for his actions.
New head coach Javier Aguirre and sporting director Braulio Vazquez are attempting to rescue Valencia from the relegation zone. With Elliott among the squad's higher earners, ending his loan could create valuable room in the wage budget for January reinforcements.
A premature return to Liverpool would represent another disappointing loan experience for the England youth international after his limited opportunities at Aston Villa last season. However, no termination agreement has been confirmed, and Elliott still has time to prove his value before January.
Reminder: Official: Liverpool star joins Valencia on a season-long loan for the 2026/27 campaign.
