Liverpool seriously considering transfer of star goalkeeper from La Liga
The star goalkeeper of the Georgian national team and Valencia, Giorgi Mamardashvili, could still make a significant move this summer.
According to Relevo, Liverpool is seriously considering the option of signing Mamardashvili. The clubs are currently negotiating a transfer for the young goalkeeper, valued at €30 million.
However, Mamardashvili is unlikely to move to Anfield immediately. It is more probable that the clubs will agree on a transfer with the condition that the 23-year-old goalkeeper remains at Valencia on loan for one season.
Previously, there were expectations that Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper, Alisson, might move to the Saudi Arabian league, but he will be staying with the club.
Throughout his career, Mamardashvili has already played 100 matches for Valencia, achieving 31 clean sheets.
It is worth noting that this summer, Liverpool has yet to sign any new players, and just yesterday, Real Sociedad's central midfielder Martín Zubimendi declined the club's offer.
