Liverpool move closer to extending Konate's contract

Liverpool is nearing a contract extension with defender Ibrahima Konaté.

Details: According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, negotiations are progressing well at this stage. Konaté is expected to sign a new contract after Jarrell Quansah, as he is seen as a key part of the club's project, and Arne Slot truly values him.

The possible terms of the new deal, however, have not been disclosed.

Konaté’s current contract with Liverpool runs until June 30, 2026.
