There is quite a lot of speculation around the name of Liverpool's new head coach at the moment. Some are calling Xabi Alonso almost the main contender for the Bayer coach's chair, but the Spaniard is not the only one being considered at Anfield.

David Orstein reports that club bosses are also interested in Sporting coach Ruben Amorim, but the Portuguese grandee will not let his specialist go for nothing:

"Amorim has a clause in his contract. About a year ago, when Chelsea were interested in him, it was up to 20 million euros. Now, as I understand it, it is 10 million. Against the sums for players it may seem a small amount but it is high for coaches, whether we like it or not."

Earlier, it was reported that Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi has chosen Amorim as his successor at the Seagulls in case if the Italian does leave the team.
