De Zerbi has chosen his successor in Brighton

Brighton are well aware of the interest in their head coach Roberto De Zerbi and have already prepared a candidate if the Italian leaves the Seagulls in the summer.

According to Maisfuetbol, Brighton are hoping to bring in Sporting head coach Ruben Amorim to replace De Zerbi. He is believed to be the perfect replacement for the Italian, who, moreover, has personally agreed Amorim's candidature.

De Zerbi wants to leave Brighton in safe hands and believes the Portuguese has all the makings to shine in the team.

The 39-year-old took charge of Sporting in March 2020. Together with the team he became the Portuguese champion in 2021, is also a two-time winner of the Portuguese League Cup and the local Super Cup.

Earlier it was reported that Amorim could take charge of Barcelona, with whom De Zerbi himself is currently linked.
