Liverpool has found a replacement for Salah in the Netherlands

Liverpool has reportedly added PSV's right-winger, Johan Bakayoko, to the list of transfer targets for January, as per Mirror.

The Reds apparently see the 20-year-old Belgian as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, especially while Salah represents Egypt in the African Cup of Nations.

Bakayoko is regarded as one of the top talents in Eredivisie. He has already played nine matches and scored one goal for the Belgian national team. Transfermarkt values the winger at 40 million euros.

For PSV's senior squad, Bakayoko has featured in 64 matches, scoring 11 goals and contributing 18 assists. In the current season, he has netted four goals and provided 13 assists in 27 appearances across various tournaments.

However, it's noted that Liverpool's transfer plans for January might be altered due to a recent injury to their defender, Kostas Tsimikas. This setback might potentially shift the club's focus towards seeking defensive reinforcements.
