Yesterday, within the realm of the eighteenth round of the English Premier League, Liverpool and Arsenal collided. The match culminated in a 1-1 draw.

Apart from the fact that the Merseysiders managed to secure only a single point at Anfield, they also suffered the loss of one of their defenders. During a duel with Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, Kostas Tsimikas lost his balance and, in the fall, collided with the team's coach, Jürgen Klopp. The Liverpool defender exhibited visible discomfort, necessitating his substitution. Subsequently, during halftime, Sky Sports reported his hospitalization, and Klopp confirmed the worst.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Jürgen Klopp stated:

"We have a significant issue with Kostas Tsimikas' collarbone; it's definitely broken, so he will be out for an extended period. We are yet to discover other issues. Coping with Andy [Robertson]'s injury has already been challenging for us."

Tsimikas's injury compounds Klopp's defensive headaches, with the absence of their primary left-back, Andy Robertson, due to a shoulder injury. Joe Gomez, who replaced Tsimikas, doesn't typically play as a left-back and won't be considered a long-term solution in this position.

The Greek defender is set to miss a substantial stretch of time, estimated to range from three to six to eight weeks due to the injury. As the winter transfer window approaches, Liverpool might consider exploring the acquisition of a new left-back.
