The transfer battle between clubs is heating up even before the window officially opens.
Details: According to renowned and highly respected journalist and insider Ekrem Konur on his H social media page, English sides Liverpool and Newcastle are gearing up for a serious tussle over the signature of 28-year-old Colombian forward Luis Suárez from Lisbon’s Sporting.
Reports indicate that Sporting is prepared to let go of one of their key players, but they're demanding no less than €80 million—a figure well within Newcastle’s reach following the sale of Isak.
Luis Suárez joined Sporting last summer from Almería for €23 million and, in his debut season for the Lisbon club, has already established himself as a pivotal figure in their attacking line-up.
He’s made 41 appearances for the club, netting 32 goals and providing 7 assists. His current contract with Sporting runs until 2030, and his market value is estimated at €28 million by Transfermarkt.
