Leverkusen are keen to extend Ibrahim Maza’s contract
The Bundesliga side are reportedly in talks with the player and his representatives.
Bayer Leverkusen want to keep Ibrahim Maza for the long term. According to Florian Plettenberg, the German club have opened negotiations regarding a contract extension that would include a pay rise.
The Algerian international is, however, under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until June 2030. But the Bundesliga club is said to regard Ibrahim Maza as a key player for its future.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joined Bayer Leverkusen in July 2025. Since then, he has scored four goals and provided eight assists, figures that confirm his potential.
Bayer thus intends to reward a young talent who is rapidly developing and to protect him from interest, particularly from the Premier League. Aston Villa, Tottenham and Arsenal are all reportedly interested in the Algerian international midfielder.
