Lesiba Nku is a happy man.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Stellenbosch FC midfielder could not contain his joy at being on the field of play.

His arrival at Sekhukhune United was a relief of sort as the midfielder last played competitive football at the start of the season for Stellies.

When the Cape Winelands club placed him and Lehlohonolo Mojela on the transfer-list in October last year, it was the start of a frustrating spell on the sidelines.

But Sekhukhune United’s call to the player was one which salvaged his ailing career. And from his expressiong to his club’s media you can tell he has missed being on the field.

Nku made his debut in Babina Noko’s 1-0 win over TS Galaxy in a Betway Premiership match.

“Yoh! What a game! But I’m happy to be here, to get some minutes, and to stay fit,” said Nku.

“I’m looking forward to playing more games. Honestly, I’m delighted to be here and play football.”
