Betway Premiership side Sekhukhune United closing on Lesiba Nku as the player remains on the fringes at Stellenbosch FC
Lesiba Nku has joined Sekhukhune United.
Nku joins from Stellenbosch FC having been released late last year alongside fellow midfielder Bradley Mojela.
Mojela, interestingly, joins Mojela at Sekhukhune who was signed earlier this month.
Nku was signed from Mamelodi Sundowns by Stellies as he was no longer playing regular football under then coach Rulani Mokwena and he also struggled for game time as the Cape side.
His rise in the PSL was at Polokwane City where he established himself as one of the league’s most dependable left-footed midfielders but for the past two seasons, his quality has waned.
Their departure from Stellies with Mojela was a sudden one and to a large degree, a non-negotiable release as though they broke the club rules.
But Stellenbosch FC management were adamant there was nothing sinister behind their move.
He made 35 appearances for the Cape Winelands side since he arrived two seasons ago.
An announcement by Sekhukhune on his arrival is imminent.
