After a year in the Championship, Leicester City has returned to the Premier League. The Foxes will play their first match back in the top flight tomorrow, August 19, against Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the clubs are connected by more than just their upcoming match. According to the Daily Mail, Leicester City is close to signing Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp. While Spurs were initially reluctant to let Skipp go, as they aim to comply with Premier League squad regulations, they may consider a transfer if the Foxes present a lucrative offer.
Leicester has already bolstered their squad with several new signings, including Abdul Fatawu from Sporting, Caleb Okoli from Atalanta, and Michael Golding from Chelsea.
Manager Steve Cooper is focused on strengthening the team to secure their place in the Premier League and perhaps even replicate the stunning success of the 2015/16 season. Oliver Skipp is viewed as a key potential addition, and negotiations between the clubs are ongoing.
