Even after stepping down as head coach, Jürgen Klopp continues to keep a close eye on the future of his former club.
Details: According to The Sun, the German tactician has reached out to Liverpool's management with a specific recommendation to strengthen the squad. In Klopp's view, the ideal successor to Mohamed Salah—who recently announced his departure from the Merseyside club—is RB Leipzig winger Jan Diomande.
The 23-year-old Ivorian Diomande has been a real revelation in the current Bundesliga campaign. Klopp, who has always kept a keen eye on the German market, sees in the young player the same qualities that once made Salah a global superstar: blistering pace, the ability to beat defenders one-on-one, and—crucially—outstanding productivity when cutting in from the right flank.
It's worth noting that this season, the Ivorian has made 29 appearances for RB Leipzig across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists.
Reminder: Mohamed Salah could return to Roma as a free agent.
