Belgium national team leader Kevin De Bruyne delivered a sensational and candid interview, openly summing up his challenging debut season at Italian side Napoli.
Details: In an interview with Niewsblad, the midfielder publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with how his first year in Naples unfolded following last year’s transfer, and made it clear that his future at the club hinges on upcoming talks with the management.

The Belgian maestro bluntly stated that the promises made to him before his move sharply contrasted with what he encountered on the pitch:
"I still have one year left on my contract, but I want to have a conversation with Napoli. Last year, there was a lot of talk: 'We’ll play a certain way, we’ll do this and that'... But very little of that actually happened, and that’s a real shame. I just want to enjoy playing football," he said.
Now, De Bruyne is waiting for some clarity regarding Napoli's plans for the new season. If a compromise can’t be reached on the team’s playing style and ambitions, the Belgian may consider moving on to avoid wasting the final year of his contract.
Reminder: Napoli have made their decision regarding Antonio Conte’s successor.
