Kalidou Koulibaly puts doubts to rest ahead of Senegal’s World Cup match against France
“I’m fit and available for the team”
With questions still lingering over his fitness, the captain of the Lions of Teranga has put everyone’s minds at ease.
Senegal are preparing for their first match at the World Cup currently taking place in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Pape Thiaw’s side face France on Tuesday 16 June in Group I.
But ahead of this eagerly anticipated clash, Kalidou Koulibaly sought to reassure everyone about his fitness following his recent injury. The Senegalese defender stated that he is fully fit and ready to meet his manager’s requirements.
“I am fit and available for the team. The manager will make his choices, without any pressure. The most important thing is that the team starting the match does everything possible to secure victory tomorrow.”
