Kaizer Chiefs defender Inacio Miguel on their five-match unbeaten run: This should not be celebrated as it should be standard for a team like Amakhosi
The five match unbeaten rub by Kaizer Chiefs should not be celebrated like something of a novelty.
Such a run should be a standard for a club of Amakhosi magnitude.
This is Chiefs defender Inacio Miguel’s sentiment ahead of Chiefs clash against Polokwane City this evening in a Betway Premiership match.
“In the past, our main problem was finding the consistency to establish momentum. It’s not about winning one or two games, it’s about putting in a run of four, five games, and I think we are now on the right road,” said Miguel.
“However, it’s not enough yet. Being at a big club like Kaizer Chiefs, it shouldn’t be a surprise to see a run like this; it should be expected, so we aim to make winning a habit.”
The Angolan and his Chiefs team-mates are now third on the PSL table and look set to push for a third place finish as the League championship seems out of their reach.
When the season started, Amakhosi did look like potential champions but inconsistencies midway through the campaign, their campaign went south.
As the campaign nears the end, they again look like a side on a mission as they had gone five matches unbeaten but for now they look set for the third spot.
They face Polokwane City at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium this evening in a game in which they will be looking to intensify their push for the third spot.
The match starts at 5.30mpm.
