Ben Youssef Khalid on Kaizer Chiefs' resurgence: We had to seat down and look at what we can work on to achieve the kind of results we see today
The resurgence of Kaizer Chiefs has many wondering what could have brought about change to the Betway Premiership side.
Amakhosi are unbeaten in five PSL matches and have recorded five victories in succession which has catapulted them to the third spot of the Betway Premiership standings.
Durban City, Magesi FC, Orbit College and TS Galaxy have been on the receiving end of Chiefs’ impressive run with the 4-1 win on Wednesday at New Peter Mokaba Stadium being the latest.
Chiefs co-coach Ben Youssef Khalid said a lot of introspection took place for these results to become a reality.
“It’s the mentality that we have. We make a lot of meetings together and we discussed about the situation,” said Ben Youssef.
“When we analyse properly the situation we saw our mistakes. And we said that we have to correct our mistakes.
“So, when you make the right analysis and you see what were your mistakes and then you continue forward, I think that’s the most important thing for us.”
This weekend Amakhosi face Polokwane City at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
The match starts at 5.30pm.
