Defender Joe Gomez has shared how he was close to leaving Liverpool last summer.
The English center-back emphasized that he is now fully focused on his performances for the Merseyside club.
Quote: "I was close to leaving Liverpool last summer, it was definitely very real.
But I’ve always been focused on the club. I know how lucky I am to be here. Next summer will mark 10 years for me. I don’t take it for granted. I love Liverpool," Gomez told Fabrizio Romano.
Reminder: This season, the 27-year-old has featured in 11 matches across all competitions for Liverpool.
Liverpool remains the only team to win all six matches in the Champions League group stage and is also leading the Premier League under Arne Slot.
