Jadon Sancho could make a shock move to the Championship
Jadon Sancho's search for a new club could lead him to one of the most unexpected destinations of his career.
Details: According to talkSPORT, representatives of the 26-year-old English winger have contacted West Ham United about a possible free transfer. The London club are currently competing in the Championship under Nuno Espírito Santo and sit third in the standings, firmly in contention for promotion to the Premier League.
Sancho has been without a club for almost four months after his contract with Manchester United expired at the end of June. The Englishman joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million in 2021 but failed to establish himself at Old Trafford. He subsequently spent time on loan at Dortmund, Chelsea and Aston Villa.
However, there is currently no indication that West Ham are prepared to enter negotiations. Sancho's representatives have also approached other English clubs. Meanwhile, the winger has reportedly rejected an offer from Getafe over financial disagreements and is now in talks with an unnamed Saudi Arabian club.
It is worth noting that Sancho spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Aston Villa, making 39 appearances and scoring just one goal. He remains available without a transfer fee.
